Masterpieces from Kazan. From Roerich to Kandinsky. To celebrate the Centennial Anniversary of the Republic of Tatarstan

New Tretyakov, Halls 1–2, 10, Krymsky Val

The exhibition is part of the program of celebrations in honor of the centenary of the Republic of Tatarstan. The State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan has one of the most fascinating collections and it will bring the best works by the Silver Age and Russian avant-garde artists. The exhibition will show 48 paintings that have been specifically selected to be displayed at the Tretyakov Gallery. The last major show of the Kazan Museum’s rich collection was 15 years ago as part of the Golden Map of Russia Federal Exhibition Project. From August to November 2020, our guests will have a unique opportunity to see beautiful paintings by famous artists such as Nikolai Roerich, Alexander Golovin, Konstantin Bogaevsky, Mikhail Larionov, Nataliya Goncharova, Ilya Mashkov, Pyotr Konchalovsky, Alexander Kuprin, Aristarkh Lentulov, and Vasily Kandinsky. Works by lesser-known artists (Mikhail Le Dantu, Boris Takke, and Magda Nachman) that can be rarely seen in Russian museum collections will be a feature of the exhibition.
